The academic programmes at SSES span undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and are aligned with the latest technology and scientific advancements in alliance with the NEP 2020. The school is deeply involved in academic research, industry collaboration, and consultancy projects—providing students with an exposure to both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Structure & Programs: SSES comprises six key departments.

- Mechanical Engineering (ME): Mechanical Engineering Department offers UGC-accredited B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. programmes in Mechanical Engineering with specializations in Automotive Engineering, Electric Vehicles, and Mechatronics. The department is committed to imparting strong theoretical foundations along with practical and industry-oriented learning in areas such as thermal engineering, manufacturing technology, robotics, automation, electric mobility, design engineering, and advanced materials. The curriculum is designed to equip students with technical expertise, research capabilities, innovation skills, and problem-solving abilities required to meet modern industrial and technological challenges. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories including Automobile Engineering Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Strength of Materials (SOM) Lab, Heat and Mass Transfer Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, IC Engine Lab, Mechatronics Lab, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab. Additional infrastructure includes smart classrooms with Wi-Fi connectivity, advanced computing facilities, workshops, seminar halls, and departmental library resources that support research and hands-on learning. The department emphasizes industry interaction, research activities, innovation projects, internships, and skill-based training to prepare students for careers in core industries, automobile and EV sectors, manufacturing, automation, design, and research organizations. Our alumni are successfully placed in reputed organizations across automotive, manufacturing, energy, design, and technology sectors, contributing significantly in academia, research, and industry.
- Civil Engineering (CE): If you dream of building bridges, designing smart cities, or shaping India's infrastructure — this is where that journey begins. Our NBA-accredited B.Tech. program in Civil Engineering offers specializations in Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, GIS & Remote Sensing, and Concrete Technology. Students learn not just in classrooms but through real site visits, industry internships, and hands-on projects with leading construction and infrastructure companies. With M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs also on offer, the department supports your growth at every stage — from your first year to your career. - Electrical Electronics and Communication Engineering (EECE): The Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering (EECE) at Sharda University, Greater Noida, is a distinguished centre of academic excellence under the Sharda School of Engineering and Sciences (SSES). The department is committed to delivering high-quality education, research, and industry-focused training in the fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics and Computer Engineering (EnC) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). The B.Tech programs in ECE and EEE are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), ensuring the highest educational standards and industry relevance. With a globally competitive curriculum, the department nurtures technically adept engineers who are well-equipped to meet the demands of modern industries and research institutions.
- Mathematics and Data Science: The Department of Mathematics & Data Science is dedicated to building strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving abilities among students. It integrates the foundational rigor of mathematics with modern data-driven techniques to prepare learners for emerging careers in analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, financial modelling, and research. The department emphasizes both theoretical depth and applied learning, ensuring students develop logical reasoning, quantitative skills, and computational proficiency. With a curriculum aligned to current industry and research demands, the department prepares graduates for higher studies and professional roles in academia, IT industries, data science, and interdisciplinary research domains.
- Physics & Environmental Sciences: Department of Physics & Environmental Sciences: Offers B. Sc., M. Sc., MS in physics, electronic science, quantum computing, environmental science, water resources & environmental management, focusing on areas like AI, quantum sensing, renewable energy, climate change, sustainable development, and waste management. With advanced laboratories and industry-oriented learning, the Department empowers students to address modern scientific and environmental challenges. The alumni of the Department have secured prestigious positions across diverse sectors, like Ministries, leading private firms, Environmental Consultancies, and higher studies in globally renowned Universities through rewarding scholarships.
- Chemistry and Biochemistry: Offers UGC-accredited B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, and Biochemistry. These programmes are designed to impart deep knowledge in nanomaterial, catalysis, cancer biology, bioanalytical methods, medicinal chemistry, material chemistry, and computational chemistry. Infrastructure includes 6 advanced research labs, smart board and WIFI enabled classrooms, specialist library, and conference rooms. Our alumni have placed in Syngene International, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Jubilant Life Sciences, Unicure India Limited, Accenture, Teachnook, and other renowned organizations.
