About

Dr. Shashank Chaudhary is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Sharda School of Engineering & Science, Sharda University. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal. His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, particularly geopolymer concrete incorporating Alccofine and industrial by-products, with emphasis on mechanical performance, durability, microstructure and statistical mix optimization.

His work also explores low-clinker LC3 cement, reinforcement-corrosion mechanisms, waste utilization in construction and machine-learning-based prediction of concrete properties. He has published in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals, contributed papers and book chapters to Scopus-indexed proceedings, presented research at national conferences, and is a co-inventor of a granted Indian design patent.

Experience
  • More than 8 years of combined academic and research experience in Civil and Structural Engineering.
  • Currently Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, SSES, Sharda University.
  • Previously Assistant Professor at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida; Lecturer at Rishi Ramnaresh Technical Institute for 3 years and 2 months; and associated with a teachers training programme at Testbook.com for 5 months.
  • Experience in teaching Civil Engineering courses, conducting laboratory sessions, mentoring student projects.

  • B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, SRM University (2011–2015). Thesis: “Design and Cost Estimation of Residential Building.”

  • Qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023.
  • Co-inventor of the granted Indian design patent “Portable Penetrometer Device for In-Field California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) Evaluation of Clay Soils” (Application No. 469029-001).
  • Author of two Q1 journal publications and contributor to research presented at SEC-2023, ICSEE-2024, RAISE-2024 and CISSC-2025.
