Dr. Ahzam Shadab is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering and Science, at Sharda University, Greater Noida. He is an accomplished academician and researcher specializing in geospatial technologies — Remote Sensing, GPS, GIS and LiDAR — and their interdisciplinary applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geoinformatics from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, an M.Tech. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geoinformatics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and B.Tech in Civil engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh.
With over 15 years of experience in academics, research and administration, his work sits at the intersection of geoinformatics, artificial intelligence and sustainability, with a focus on solar radiation modelling, renewable energy assessment, climate change, sustainable development, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks promoting data-driven approaches for infrastructure development and planning, environmental monitoring and policy support. He has authored several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, holds two Indian patents, and is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing and a member of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
