About the Programme
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry is a full-time graduate degree multidisciplinary programme as per NEP 2020 with major and minor in Forensic Science options. Biochemistry undergraduate degree programme is either a 3 or 4-year duration, with multiple entry and exit points and re-entry options and with proper UG and Bachelor certifications such as a UG certificate after completing 1 year (II-semesters), UG diploma after 2 years (IV-semesters), Bachelor’s degree after a 3-year (VI-semesters) and 4-year bachelor’s degree (honours/ honours with research) after eight semester’s programme of study in Biochemistry. This programme aimed at equipping students with a robust understanding of the chemical and molecular foundations of life. It combines biology and chemistry principles to investigate the structure, function, and interactions of biomolecules crucial for cellular and physiological activities and provides thorough training in essential topics, including molecular biology, enzymology, metabolism, genetics, cell biology, and genetic engineering, supplemented by practical laboratory experience and commonly utilized analytical methods in contemporary biochemical research.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
PEO 1: Equipping students with specific and pertinent knowledge in Biochemistry through creative teaching techniques.
