Community Awareness Camps

Community awareness program is one of the good practices of Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences to Contribute to the holistic development of students by making them more aware of socially and economically disadvantaged communities and their specific issues and to provide richer context to classrooms, so as to make them more effective laboratories of learning by aligning them to social realities beyond textbooks. These camps also provide scope to faculty members to align their teaching and research goals by giving them ample opportunity to carry out community-oriented projects.

Study Tours/Visits

Study Tours are arranged to give real life exposure; this experiential learning provides in practical knowledge of the subject. The students are provided experiential learning by arranging study tours. These tours are useful to enrich the knowledge and understanding of the course in a fruitful way.

ICT enabled Teaching-Learning

ICT enabled Teaching-Learning methods and tools are used to increase the participative approach of the students. ICT enabled teaching-learning is very important. The department of allied health sciences has well equipped E-classrooms and faculty members use various innovative methods to increase participative learning among students. Uploading of e content on LMS portal help the student to learn about the topic in advance and participate well in class room

Presentation, Workshop and Guest Lectures

Student Presentations: Presentation skills are extremely useful both in and outside the classroom. After completing any assignment or project, a presentation is a channel for students to share with others what they have learned. And in the world of work, a confident presenter is able to inform and persuade colleagues effectively. Every Students is engaged in planning and delivering the presentations in groups or alone to inculcate the skill of practise all language systems areas (vocabulary, grammar, discourse and phonology) and skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) and finally the particular topic. All programmes in the department of allied health science use this method.

Sports and Cultural Activities

Physical activities are an integral part of overall development. Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences gives equal weightage to Sports and cultural activities. Every year in each semester internal game competitions are organized where many students take part and enjoy. Along with this student are also motivated to participate in inter-university and intra-university sports events.

Projects/Dissertation

Research problems are dealt through academic research projects. Minor and Major research projects are offered in various programs of SSAHS. RBL 1, RBL 2, RBL 3 and RBL 4 are research based learning projects assigned to students in four semesters of the program.

Clinical Postings and Patient Handling

Allied health professionals aim to prevent, diagnose and treat a range of conditions and illnesses and often work within a multidisciplinary health team to provide the best patient outcomes.

Competitive Examination Preparation

The University has a Career Counselling and Development Cell which along with School organises various workshop to train students for various Competitive Examination. Various activities and event were conducted by School of Allied Health Sciences for grooming the students for various competitive exams.

Placement of Students

Preparing for the placements is the first step to starting one’s professional career. It also paves a path for a Professional Career, hence ensuring a bright future. Placements are very significant in one’s life to kick start one’s career.

We at Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences along with the Training and Placement cell of Sharda University invite various companies for the campus placement of the students of various programmes.
