World Food Day 2025 and Expert Talk on Sustainable Nutrition

Food Science & Technology at the Sharda School of Bio-Sciences & Technology, Sharda University, with the knowledge parter Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (INDIA) is celebrating World Food Day 2025 on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, under the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future,” which emphasizes collective action to ensure nutritious, safe, and sustainable foods for a healthier and food-secure future. The event aims to raise awareness about sustainable food systems, promote nutrition and healthy eating, encourage practical learning and innovation through student projects and demonstrations, highlight global and national challenges related to food safety, food waste, and nutrition security, and develop skills for future food professionals in the areas of food technology and sustainable practices. The programme was featured an expert lecture by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Head Principal Scientist, Division of Food Science & Postharvest Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
