Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, organised an Expert Lecture titled “Legal Drafting in Practice: Skills Every Law Student Must Know” was delivered by Advocate Samar Singh Kachawa, Supreme Court of India and Arbitrator, DIAC for the students of 3rd year, BALLB and BBALLB. The session was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical legal knowledge and its practical application in professional drafting. The lecture focused on the essential principles of effective legal drafting, including clarity, precision, logical structure, appropriate legal language, coherence, and effective presentation of legal arguments. The session familiarised students with the practical requirements involved in preparing various legal documents, including pleadings, applications, legal notices, agreements, and other professional legal documents. Through practical illustrations and professional perspectives, the speaker explained how legal knowledge could be effectively translated into well-structured and legally sound documents.
