Skill development center inaugurated in IQAC department of Sharda University on 23rd Feb 2023

Sharda University EPIPW Skill Development Center was jointly inaugurated by the IQAC Department of Sharda University and the Export Promotion Industrial Park Welfare Association. The center was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Sharda University Dr. Sibaram Khara and the President of the Export Promotion Industrial Park Welfare Association Talwinder Singh Happy by cutting the ribbon. Dr. Sivaram Khara, Vice Chancellor of Sharda University, said that through this center, the strength between industry and academia will increase. Not only this, the professionals will get to know more about the demands of the industry. Along with this, students will also get more and more internship and placement opportunities at the university. Talwinder Singh Happy, President, Export Promotion Industrial Park Welfare Association, said that a purpose-oriented association with industry would be established for the benefit of the community. In today's time, it is most important to understand the demand of the industry, only then the students will be able to prepare themselves according to the industry.

Dr. Anubha Vashisht, Director, Department of IQAC, Sharda University, while addressing said that we want to train people in different types of skills which are especially in demand. When people from two organizations work together, they learn a lot from each other. The first training program of the Skill Development Center was conducted for the HR professionals of EPIP in which more than 50 people participated. Many people including Dr. Mridul Dharwal, Perfection Handicraft Shobha Singh, and General Secretary of EPIP Vijay Juneja were present in the programme.
