Honouring Freedom, Celebrating India: 80th Independence Day at Sharda University

Sharda University commemorated Indias 80th Independence Day with pride, reverence, and a deep sense of gratitude towards the countless sacrifices that shaped the nations freedom.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the National Flag in the presence of Shri Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Honble Chancellor; Shri Yatendra Kumar Gupta, Honble Pro-Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Sibaram Khara, Honble Vice-Chancellor; senior university leadership, faculty, staff, students, and Honble Chief Guest Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor (Retd.). As the Tricolour rose, the campus came together in a powerful moment of pride, remembrance, and respect for those who dedicated their lives to the nation.

Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor shared inspiring thoughts on patriotism, leadership, youth, and the responsibility of building a stronger India, encouraging the younger generation to carry the spirit of service and nation-building forward.

The celebration was made even more memorable by a series of stirring cultural performances by students. Through music, dance, and artistic expressions, students showcased remarkable talent while beautifully capturing Indias diversity, heritage, and patriotic spirit.
