Poster Competition on First Aid Awareness

First aid is the immediate, initial care given to someone with a medical emergency, aiming to preserve life, prevent worsening of the condition, and promote recovery until professional medical help arrives. Recognizing the critical importance of first aid knowledge in emergency situation the Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research organized an interactive First Aid Awareness event on February 25, 2025 from 9 am to 1 pm. This initiative aimed to equip participants, particularly B.Sc 2nd Semester students, with essential life-saving skills. The program featured poster competition, health education covering techniques such as CPR, wound management, and fracture handling, along with nukkad natak. Additionally, distribution of first aid box and iron multivitamin medication at construction site provided participants with practical experience in responding to real-life emergencies. This initiative aligns with global efforts to promote first aid education, empowering individuals to act confidently and effectively in critical situations, thereby enhancing community safety and well-being.
