POCSO Awareness Workshop

The Pro Bono Club, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University successfully organized a Good Touch, Bad Touch & POCSO Awareness Workshop at Rainbow World School, Greater Noida, with the objective of promoting child safety, legal awareness, and the protection of children's rights. The workshop featured an engaging skit) performed by law students to help children understand the concepts of Good Touch and Bad Touch in a simple and relatable manner. Interactive discussions encouraged students to recognize unsafe situations, speak up with confidence, and understand the protection available under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. To reinforce their learning, the school children actively participated by completing a Good Touch-Bad Touch awareness worksheet, helping assess their understanding while making the session both interactive and impactful. The programme was convened by Dr. Vaishali Arora, Convenor, Pro Bono Club, and coordinated by Dr Manvendra Singh, Co-Convenor, Pro Bono Club, under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University. The success of the workshop was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the student volunteers, including Priyanka, Rahmatullah, Sadaf, Anas, Vivek, Maheen, and other members of the Pro Bono Club, whose enthusiasm and commitment made the session engaging and impactful for the young learners. Through legal awareness, interactive learning, and community outreach, the workshop reaffirmed our commitment to empowering children with the knowledge, confidence, and courage to protect themselves and seek help whenever needed.
