Legal Awareness Visit on the issue of rights of Senior Citizens at Old Age Home

The Pro Bono Club of Sharda School of Law, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority and the District Social Welfare Office, organized a Legal Awareness Visit to the Old Age Home in Knowledge Park II. The visit aimed to raise awareness about the rights of senior citizens while giving students hands-on exposure to community-focused legal education. Along with meaningful interactions, the team also donated winter essentials and basic medicines. The visit helped students understand the real-life challenges faced by senior citizens and explore practical solutions to support and protect their rights.
Event objectives-
- To Impart Clinical Legal Education and Community Connect exposure.
- To impart legal awareness and literacy about basic socio-legal issues which senior citizen encounters in day to day life.
- To create a community where the old, needy, forlorn, isolated and unprotected senior citizens of the society live together and share their feelings and console each other to develop a home-like atmosphere
