Leadership Talk Series on Sustainable Supply Chain Management in the Indian Army

The Sharda School of Business Studies organized the third session of its Leadership Talk Series on the theme “Sustainable Supply Chain Management in the Indian Army.” The session was delivered by Major General (Retd.) Dr. Rajan Kochhar, an expert in military logistics, supply chain management, and defense technology. Drawing upon his extensive experience in the armed forces, he provided participants with valuable insights into how the Indian Army manages complex logistics and supply networks while ensuring operational efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and preparedness under demanding conditions.

The talk highlighted the practical application of sustainable supply chain management principles in defense operations, emphasizing resource optimization, innovation in logistics, strategic planning, and environmentally responsible practices. Through real-world examples and leadership lessons from the military, students gained a deeper understanding of how large organizations integrate sustainability with operational excellence.
