21 Jun 2022
On the auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day, Students & Staff of Sharda University come together to celebrate the power of yoga in promoting holistic health practices, courtesy of the Office of Dean Students Welfare in association with the Sharda School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
With the consistent efforts of our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, June 21st has been successfully enshrined as the International Day of Yoga, on the International landscape. This year, the International Day of Yoga gains distinctive significance under the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations; the 75 years of Independence of India.
Many students & staff volunteered to make the fortunate event, a successful event. There were demonstrations on the benefits of yoga and its importance in leading a stress-free healthy lifestyle. Yoga signifies the unity of ones mind, body, and spirit with the world outside, through a set of Aasans that include breathing techniques, physical postures, and relaxation methods.
The whole event was live-streamed on Shardas Youtube channel.
