11 Feb 2026
Food Science & Technology at the Sharda School of Bio-Sciences & Technology, Sharda University, in collaboration with the Institutions Innovation Council, is organizing an “Educational Exposure Visit to the Pilot Plant and Research Laboratories” at National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management to provide students with first-hand exposure to advanced food processing pilot plants and research laboratories. During the visit, students will observe various unit operations involved in food processing, preservation, packaging, and quality evaluation across different food sectors while interacting with faculty members, scientists, and technical staff to understand the practical application of food science principles, research methodologies, and industry-oriented innovations. The visit aims to familiarise students with pilot-scale food processing equipment and operations related to cereals, dairy, fruits and vegetables, meat, and bakery products; understand the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and food safety systems such as HACCP; gain exposure to advanced analytical and quality control laboratories for physico-chemical, microbiological, and sensory analysis; understand the role of research and innovation in product development and process optimisation; bridge theoretical learning with practical applications; and explore academic, research, internship, and career opportunities in the food processing sector. The programme is being coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Pallavi Gupta, Advisor and President, Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Sharda University.
