Azadi Utsav: Constitutional Rights, Duties, Values & the Spirit of Independence

12 Aug 2026

As part of the month-long celebration of Azadi Utsav 2026, the Pro Bono Club, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University organised “Azadi Utsav: Constitutional Rights, Duties, Values & the Spirit of Independence” at Ratan Public School, Greater Noida. The programme aimed to commemorate Indias Independence Day by fostering constitutional awareness, responsible citizenship and democratic values among school students. The session focused on Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties, encouraging students to understand both their constitutional entitlements and responsibilities as citizens. A special awareness skit performed by students brought constitutional concepts to life in an engaging and relatable manner, highlighting the importance of knowing our rights, performing our duties and respecting the values of the Constitution. The programme was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, Sharda School of Law, and Dr. Tarkesh Molia, HOD. The event was coordinated by Dr. Vaishali Arora and Dr Manvendra Singh, with the active participation of the Pro Bono Club and student volunteers. The initiative served as a meaningful platform to connect constitutional values with everyday citizenship, inspiring young minds to become informed, responsible and active participants in a democratic India.
