Department of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences & Research, Sharda Hospital, Sharda University is organizing a workshop on "AITO – Basal Ganglia Connections/Functions/applied" on 25th February 2026.

Objective of Events:

Describe the connection of the basal ganglia, including afferent and efferent pathways.
Explain the functional role of the basal ganglia in regulation of movement, posture, and motor coordination.
Discuss the neurochemical mechanisms underlying basal ganglia circuitry.
Correlate lesions and dysfunctions of the basal ganglia with clinical conditions, including parkinsonism and other movement disorders.
Integrate concepts across subjects through case-based learning.
