25 Feb 2026
Department of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences & Research, Sharda Hospital, Sharda University is organizing a workshop on "AITO – Basal Ganglia Connections/Functions/applied" on 25th February 2026.
Objective of Events:
- Describe the connection of the basal ganglia, including afferent and efferent pathways.
- Explain the functional role of the basal ganglia in regulation of movement, posture, and motor coordination.
- Discuss the neurochemical mechanisms underlying basal ganglia circuitry.
- Correlate lesions and dysfunctions of the basal ganglia with clinical conditions, including parkinsonism and other movement disorders.
- Integrate concepts across subjects through case-based learning.
