Department of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences & Research, Sharda Hospital, Sharda University is organizing a workshop on "AITO – Basal Ganglia Connections/Functions/applied" on 25th February 2026.

Objective of Events:

  • Describe the connection of the basal ganglia, including afferent and efferent pathways.
  • Explain the functional role of the basal ganglia in regulation of movement, posture, and motor coordination.
  • Discuss the neurochemical mechanisms underlying basal ganglia circuitry.
  • Correlate lesions and dysfunctions of the basal ganglia with clinical conditions, including parkinsonism and other movement disorders.
  • Integrate concepts across subjects through case-based learning.
