5th Technovation Hackathon at Sharda University

Sharda School of Engineering & Technology organized the 5th Technovation Hackathon in which 2445 participants and 813 teams participated .After two rounds of evaluation, 124 teams including 15 teams from reputed colleges like Galgotias University , IIMT , IGDTU , etc were shortlisted for final evaluation. The selected teams prepared their models at the University Campus. The objective of the hackathon was to discover innovative ideas from young minds for the problems of society. During the event, the students worked on the themes that were Smart Citizen & Governance, Facilities & Amenities Design, Smart Security, Safety & Surveillance, Smart Health, Agriculture & Sanitation and Smart Transport & Pollution Control.

Dr. Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor, Sharda University said “This is a proud moment for all the students of Sharda University and different Universities of the country that they have commonly participated in solving the problems of various sectors of society. Innovation is best demonstrated by bringing ideas to life, even if the first version isnt perfect.”

Addressing the students, Prof. Parmanand , Dean Academics Affairs and Dean SSET, Sharda University says” The Technovation Hackathon aims at discovering innovative ideas from young minds for problems in society. The students will present ideas for “smart citizen” and “governance,” “facilities and amenities design,” “smart security,” “safety and surveillance,” “smart health,” “agriculture and sanitation,” and “smart transport and pollution control.” An emerging city like Greater Noida can make its own contribution in this area. The students who participated in the Technovation Hackathon will present ingenious projects to cope with this issue.”

Dr. Nitin Rakesh , HOD , CSE , SET and other faculties were also the part of the event .The Event concluded with  the prize distribution in the presence of Vice Chancellor and Dean of SET.
