Miss Achala Shakya is an Assistant Professor in CSE Department, Sharda University, Greater Noida. Her research is in the areas of remote sensing, microwave & optical remote sensing, deep learning, geo-informatics, and image processing. She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis in the Computer Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Haryana. She did her M.Tech. in Computer Science from Banasthali University, Rajasthan. She has completed her B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from AKTU. She is a member of IEEE since 2018. She was Ambassador in the IEEEXtreme 14.0 & 15.0 programming competition for Region 10. She was also selected for Ph.D. position in Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Ms. Achala has published several research papers in the Sci/ Scopus/ Web of Science indexed journals. She has also presented her work in national and international conferences. She was a project intern at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun. She was a project research fellow under a NASA/ISRO project funded by SAC-ISRO, Ahmedabad in NIT Kurukshetra. She has also worked on PARAM-SHAVAK (supercomputer) for various research work at NIT Kurukshetra. She has wide experience of using deep learning/ machine learning techniques in the field of remote sensing and image processing.
