About

Dr Pradeep Kumar was selected for Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship and did post-doctoral research at Regional Environmental Systems Engineering (RESE), University of Regina, Regina, Canada from June 1994-May 1995. He also worked at Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden), Dresden, Germany from May-July 2008 under DAAD Fellowship. 
He has handled several research projects sponsored by DBT (IC-IMPACTS, Canada), European Commission, Ministry of Environment and Forest, GoI etc. He has guided 19 PhD thesis and published more than 60 research papers in refereed international journals. He was also a member of the team of the UNDP sponsored studies related to National Inventory Development of Mercury in India. He participated in 18th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica for research on Water Quality: Lakes of Schirmacher Oasis, Antarctica during 1998-99. 
He was also awarded Visiting International Fellowship (VIF) by Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the USA in 2011. At IIT Roorkee, he held many administrative responsibilities like Students Ombudsperson, Coordinator (TEQIP), Chairman (Institute Grievances Redressal Committee and Chairman, GATE and JAM.
