Visit to “The Mute Eloquence of the Taj Mahal: Ba-zaban-e Be-zabani” – Exhibition curated by Rana Safvi

05 Dec 2025

Sharda School of Design, Sharda University, organized an academic visit for students to the exhibition “The Mute Eloquence of the Taj Mahal: Ba-zaban-e Be-zabani,” curated by Rana Safvi, held at DAG, Janpath, New Delhi, on 5 December 2025. The exhibition presented the Taj Mahal as a powerful cultural symbol that ‘speaks through silence, using visual and historical narratives spanning over three centuries.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to experience curatorial storytelling, spatial exhibition design, and heritage interpretation firsthand. Through artworks, archival materials, and thoughtfully designed display spaces, the exhibition illustrated the historical, artistic, and emotional significance of the Taj Mahal while highlighting how exhibitions can communicate complex narratives through visual and spatial language. Students engaged in close observation of the displays, gaining insights into exhibition curation, narrative development, and the role of design in shaping visitor experience. The visit also encouraged critical thinking about the representation of heritage within contemporary exhibition spaces.
