The Research and Technology Development Centre (RTDC) has been established to perform cutting edge research in the frontier areas of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. The Research and Technology Development Centre has been created as a centre of excellence and is currently playing an important role in enhancing the Research Methodology and practices for useful technologically products. The centre is equipped with state of the art facilities and works in collaboration with various institutions of repute both at the National and International level.
The current activities which are being pursued at RTDC focus on multidisciplinary aspects. The RTDC team is involved extensively in the indigenous development of the piezoelectric transformer, which is being used in small gadgets like mobiles, laptops, Inverters, etc. The development of the technology for the piezoelectric transformer at the Lab Scale may ensure commercial exploitations at large scale. This work is being supported by Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India.
The Research and Technology Development Centre of Sharda University headed by Dr. S K Mishra (Director) is also involved in the development of energy through Wind, Vegetable oils, Photovoltaic technology and low cost productions of electricity by weight moving mechanism. The development of Nanopores, Nano size particle, Biodiesel are also very important projects which are under progress in RTDC.
