About the Programme

The B.Sc. (Hons./by Research) Microbiology programme is designed for students interested in studying microorganisms and their role in health, environment, and industry. The course builds a strong foundation in core biological sciences while developing specialised knowledge in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, immunology, and microbial genetics.

Students gain practical laboratory experience through experiments, research projects, and hands-on training in modern microbiological techniques. The programme prepares graduates for careers in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, research laboratories, food and dairy industries, environmental science, and higher studies in life sciences and allied fields.
