About the Programme

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of UG Program in Computer Science & Applications are:

  • PEO 1: The student should be able to apply their knowledge in Mathematics, Science, Applications as well as Computer Science concepts along with programming skills in their education and career advancement.
  • PEO 2: The students are expected to communicate well and get ready for understanding the importance of social, business, technical and ethical aspects with which a process or product is designed.
  • PEO 3: The students should be able to excel in multidisciplinary teams, develop leadership roles and inculcate problem solving capability, design skills and other diverse career paths.
  • PEO 4: The students should be able to develop an interest in knowledge enhancement with the evolving technologies.

Program Outcomes (PO’s):

  • PO1 - Applications knowledge:
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, Applications fundamentals, and an Applications specialization to the solution of complex Applications problems.
  • PO2 - Problem analysis:
Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex Applications problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and Applications sciences.
  • PO3 - Design/development of solutions:
Design solutions for complex Applications problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4 - Conduct investigations of complex problems:
Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO5 - Modern tool usage:
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern Applications and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Applications activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PO6 - The engineer and society:
Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Applications practice.
  • PO7 - Environment and sustainability:
Understand the impact of the professional Applications solutions in societal and environmental contexts, demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • PO8 - Ethics:
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities, and norms of the Applications practice.
  • PO9 - Individual and team work:
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • PO10 - Communication:
Communicate effectively on complex Applications activities with the Applications community and with society, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • PSO1: Experiment, prepare programming concepts, and provide new ideas and innovations towards research and societal issues.
  • PSO2: Analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithms, system software, cloud computing, artificial intelligence & machine learning, bioinformatics, big data analytics, block chain, cyber security and networking for efficient design of computer-based systems of varying complexity.
