About the Programme
BBA in Finance is a three-year undergraduate programme designed to build a strong foundation in financial management, investment planning, and corporate finance. The course prepares students for careers in the financial sector while equipping them with the knowledge required for advanced studies and professional certifications.
During the programme, students study core subjects such as Financial Accounting, Business Economics, Business Mathematics, Principles of Management, and Organizational Behaviour. In addition, they gain specialised knowledge through subjects like Financial Management, Investment Analysis, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Banking Operations, and Risk Management.
The curriculum is structured to ensure that students develop both managerial understanding and in-depth financial expertise. Along with theoretical concepts, the programme focuses on practical application, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities required in the finance industry.
A BBA in Finance also opens pathways to postgraduate studies such as an MBA in Finance or other specialised programmes in financial services, investment banking, insurance, and financial markets. Graduates can explore career opportunities in banking, corporate finance, wealth management, stock markets, and financial consulting.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
The Program Educational objective of the BBA of SBS is:
- PEO1: To provide students with basic theoretical knowledge and understanding of organizations, their management and the environment in which they operate.
- PEO2: To provide students with the first-hand experience of a managerial and/or management-related role and of how organizations operate in practice.                           
- PEO3: To provide students with an integrated understanding of the important functions within management and the way in which they interact and acquire new skills.
- PEO4: To develop students' critical analysis of and reflection upon management issues and their ability to undertake serious, deep and well-rounded research in selected areas.
- PEO5: To prepare students for a career in management or management-related fields and develop their capability to contribute to society at large.
