About the Programme

The B.A. in Film, Television & OTT Production is a three-year undergraduate programme offered by the Sharda School of Media, Film and Entertainment that combines theoretical understanding with intensive hands-on learning. Designed for future-ready visual storytellers, the course provides practical training in all aspects of production, including scripting, direction, cinematography, editing, and post-production. It is also suitable for students looking to pursue a filmmaking course after 12th with a strong focus on practical, industry-oriented learning.

Students work on fiction and documentary projects while exploring the evolution of Indian and global cinema. The programme also introduces emerging industry practices such as OTT content development, digital storytelling, virtual production, and AI-assisted editing, making it relevant for students interested in an OTT course as part of modern digital media learning.

Learning is strengthened through masterclasses by industry professionals, studio visits, workshops, and live production assignments. This experience-driven approach ensures students gain real-world exposure to how film, television, and OTT content is created and distributed across platforms.

The programme prepares students for careers in film, television, OTT platforms, and digital media production, enabling them to work in established media houses or pursue independent creative ventures in the entertainment industry.
