11 Jan 2021

School of Media, Film & Entertainment (SMFE), Sharda University organized one-week faculty development program on ‘Audio-Visual E-Content Production using Available Resources for the nominated faculties of Sharda University from January 4th to 9th, 2021. With an objective to equip the participant with the usage of the advance audio-visual tools for E-content designing with hand-on training for the pre-production, production and post-production phase. Combining face-to-face lectures with technology gives rise to blended learning and flipped classrooms; this type of learning environment can increase the learning potential of the students. Students can learn anytime and anywhere, thereby developing new skills in the process leading to life-long learning. The government also recognizes the increasing importance of online learning in this dynamic world. The certified participants of this FDP shall further conduct similar FDPs for the individual faculty members of their own school/department so that all faculty of SU become self-equipped to produce Audio-Visual e-Content.

This FDP had been addressed in two aspects i.e. theoretical underpinning of e-Content Designing & the practical hands-on training of advance Audio Visual Tools for E-Content production. The various experts in the FDP sessions include Prof. Dr. Ritu Sood, who is alumna of AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia. Prof. Sanjeev Sood,  Dr. Amit Chawla and Mr. Praveen Jain.

The faculty development program unravels queries and infused positive attitude among the participants and equipped them to create audio visual e-content independently. It concluded with at least one good quality production from each participant and an interactive session where all the queries were addressed in multiple dimensions.
