SBS Conducts FDP on International Business Simulation (iBizSim)

The Sharda School of Business Studies, Sharda University successfully conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on International Business Simulation (iBizSim) from December 15 to 19, 2025 with the participation of 45 faculty members from various disciplines. The FDP was organised in CDOE hall 101, block 45, Sharda University.
The five-day FDP was conducted by Dr. Ashok Ullal, Professor Emeritus & Former Dean, School of International Business, Reutlingen University, Germany. The program offered an immersive, hands-on learning experience using the iBizSim, enabling participants to engage with complex global business scenarios in a simulated environment. Faculty members worked in teams to make strategic decisions related to market entry, pricing, production, finance, marketing, and cross-functional coordination, mirroring real-world international business challenges.
The FDP focused on strengthening teaching pedagogy through experiential and technology-enabled learning. Participants gained practical exposure to data-driven decision-making, competitive analysis, and strategic thinking, enhancing their ability to integrate simulation-based tools into classroom teaching and assessment practices.
Participant feedback reflected a highly positive response, with most attendees rating the program as engaging, intellectually stimulating, and effective in improving analytical abilities, strategic mindset, and decision-making skills. Faculty members highlighted the value of translating classroom concepts into practical business experience, while also suggesting scope for extended practice sessions, inclusion of additional functional modules such as HR, and deeper integration of contemporary global business issues. Overall, the program was widely appreciated for its structure, relevance, and impact on innovative teaching practices..
Prof (Dr) Debasis Mallik, Dean, Sharda School of Business Studies, along with Prof (Dr) Nikhil Kulshreshtha (Director, UG) were advisors of the FDP and Prof (Dr) Monica Agarwal and Dr. Rohit Mahajan served as Conveners.
