Minority Education and Constitutional Conundrum in India

The Pro Bono Club at Sharda School of Law organized an expert lecture on “Minority Education and Constitutional Conundrum in India.” The session helped students explore the legal and constitutional framework governing minority education, including key provisions like Articles 29 and 30. Through discussions on landmark cases such as TMA Pai Foundation and St. Stephens College, students developed a deeper understanding of the challenges, rights, and evolving jurisprudence surrounding minority educational institutions. The lecture also strengthened their legal research and analytical skills, encouraging meaningful engagement with issues of minority rights and education in India.

Event objectives-

The objective of this expert lecture is to equip undergraduate and postgraduate law students with a comprehensive understanding of minority education rights and the constitutional challenges surrounding them in India. The lecture aims to delve into legal frameworks,landmark court cases, and policy debates to foster critical thinking and analysis among students. Apart from that exploration of relevant statutes, case laws, scholarly articles, and policy documents, students will enhance their legal research skills and develop a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding minority education.
