Sharda School of Law, Sharda University organized a two-day International Conference on "Prospects and Challenges for Innovative Ideas in Intellectual Property Rights," on 1st & 2nd September, bringing together legal luminaries, scholars, and practitioners. The first day of the event witnessed a distinguished assembly of legal luminaries like Honble Mr. Justice A.H.M.D. Nawaz, Judge, Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor, NLU, Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh N Hadli, Vice-Chancellor, NLU, Jabalpur, Mr. Anand Grover, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, among others. The inaugural ceremony was followed by technical sessions. The valedictory ceremony was equally illustrious and included luminaries like Mr. R. Venkataramani, Honble Attorney General of India, Honble Ms. Justice Prathiba M. Singh, Judge, Delhi High Court, Mr. Vikas Singh, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, and Ms. Vibha Datta Makhija, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.

The International Conference witnessed a rich exchange of ideas and insights from esteemed speakers who delved into various aspects of intellectual property rights. Honble Attorney General discussed the impressive scope of human innovation and its relevance to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), emphasizing the importance of IPR in fostering and protecting creative endeavors in our rapidly changing world.

Honble Ms Justice Pratibha M. Singh delivered valuable inputs on multifaceted themes, including trade secrets, patents, AI's intersection with the human brain, and dynamic injunctions. Her Ladyships erudite discourse offered profound insights into the evolving landscape of IPR, particularly in the context of cutting-edge technologies.

Mr. Vikas Singh, in his address, delved into contemporary legal cases, copyright provisions, and IPR provisions, offering a comprehensive analysis of their implications. He not only dissected the legal intricacies but also provided motivation to aspiring lawyers, fostering their interest in this complex field.

Ms. Makhija's contribution was notable for advocating an interdisciplinary approach to IPR. Her discussion underscored the significance of integrating diverse academic disciplines to comprehensively address the challenges and opportunities within the realm of intellectual property.
