Event description:
Pro Bono Club, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, in association with the Ministry of Law and Justice and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Gautam Buddha Nagar, organized a Community Connect Visit at the village Ghodi Bachheda, Gautam Buddha Nagar.
This initiative aimed to spread awareness about various government schemes designed to benefit rural India. During the event, students from the law school interacted with the villagers, providing them with crucial information about different government programs and services, including welfare initiatives, financial support schemes, health services, and educational opportunities. The primary goal was to enhance the understanding of these schemes within the rural population, ensuring that the villagers are well-informed about their rights and the resources available to them through the government.
An additional focus of the event was to raise awareness about the Swachh Bharat Mission, a nationwide campaign for clean and sustainable sanitation practices. To engage the community effectively, the students performed a Nukkad Natak (street play), highlighting the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation. Through this interactive medium, the message of maintaining a clean environment was conveyed, encouraging the villagers to actively participate in the mission.
The event successfully fostered a sense of community and empowerment by educating the villagers about government schemes and promoting the significance of cleanliness in their daily lives. The collaborative effort between the academic institution, government bodies, and the rural community underscored the importance of legal literacy and social responsibility in building a better future for all.
This initiative is a testament to the commitment of Sharda School of Law, the Ministry of Law and Justice, and DLSA Gautam Buddha Nagar to contribute meaningfully to rural development and legal awareness.
