Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Mohit Sahni, Associate Dean, Research and Head PhD cell, the Ph.D. Cell has strengthened the research culture at the University by fostering excellence in research, innovation, intellectual property creation, and scholarly publications. Dr. Sahni, a distinguished academician with more than two decades of teaching and research experience, has significantly contributed to enhancing doctoral education, research governance, and quality assurance mechanisms within the University. His expertise in advanced materials, nanotechnology, thin films, and multidisciplinary research has inspired scholars across diverse disciplines to pursue impactful and outcome-oriented research.

Dr. Mohit Sahni
Associate Dean Research | Head, Ph.D. Cell | Head, IPR Cell
Dr. Mohit Sahni is a distinguished academician, researcher, and academic administrator at Sharda University, Greater Noida. He currently serves as Associate Dean Research, Head of the Ph.D. Cell, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell, and Professor in the Department of Physics & Environmental Sciences. With over two decades of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the University's research ecosystem and promoting a culture of innovation and intellectual property creation.
Dr. Sahni completed his M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad. His research expertise lies in the synthesis and characterization of advanced functional materials, multiferroic nanoparticles, thin films, and their environmental and biomedical applications. He has published more than 80 research papers in reputed national and international journals and 50 patents (Published/Granted), and has also contributed significantly to interdisciplinary research.
