Dr. Urmila Yadav is a Sociologist who is currently working as a Professor in Sharda School of Law, Sharda University. She is actively engaged in teaching & research. Prof.Yadav has received funding from various Govt. agencies from National Institute of Social defence, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, National Commission for Women, Govt. of India, The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Government of India etc. She has successfully completed seven Govt. funded grants and presently working on another major Research project funded by ICSSR. Dr. Yadav has more than 30 research papers published in various reputed National and International journals, presented papers at national and international platforms, research grants, published patents and prestigious awards by National Commission for Women (NCW) & Uttar Pradesh Police (Women & Safety Wing) for her excellent contribution in society. She has published, authored and edited books on various Women & Elderly related issues and has received many accolades in the academic area. She is member of several societies and advisory boards. Her pioneering efforts continue to shape contemporary strategies in the area of Women empowerment and Social Justice.
