Ranjit Kumar is a UI/UX practitioner, design educator, and researcher with over 15 years of multidisciplinary experience spanning user experience design, digital product design, fashion, and textiles. His work focuses on applying design thinking and user-centered design methodologies to develop intuitive, impactful, and meaningful user experiences.
He holds a Masters degree in Social Design from Ambedkar University Delhi and a Bachelors degree in Textile Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar. His academic training in social design enables him to approach UX challenges through a human-centered and socially responsive design lens, integrating technology, culture, and user behavior.
Ranjit has gained valuable international industry experience through professional roles in Dubai and Africa, where he worked on product development, design strategy, and market-oriented solutions. Over the years, his career has evolved from traditional design practices toward digital experience design, interaction design, and service design, allowing him to bridge physical product design with digital user experiences.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Sharda University, he teaches UI/UX Design, Design Thinking, and Digital Interface Design, while actively engaging students in industry-oriented projects, experiential learning, and collaborative design practices. His teaching approach emphasizes research-driven design, storytelling, and real-world problem solving to prepare students for contemporary design challenges.
His research and practice focus on user experience design, social innovation, service design, and the integration of traditional knowledge systems into modern digital and design ecosystems.
