About

Dr. B.K. Gupt is presently a Distinguished Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics at Sharda University. He had formerly been a faculty in the Department of Statistics at North Eastern Hill University, with an extensive teaching experience of thirty-seven years. He has experience in interactive learning, curriculum development and teaching of Statistics and Mathematics at Short-term courses, Under-graduate, Post-graduate, and Doctoral studies. In Research, he has several publications in reputable international and national journals, contributing actively to academic advancements in Statistics. He has been invited as an external examiner for Doctoral defence and has moderated several panels at academic conferences. Committed to his discipline with enthusiasm and dedication, he fostered positive and inclusive change in his classrooms and beyond.

Qualification
  • Ph.D. in Statistics on a theme in Survey Sampling from Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam.
  • Professional Statisticians Certificate Course (P.S.C.C.) in Agricultural Statistics from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI), New Delhi.
  • M.Sc. in Statistics in first division with third position from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh - Scholarship awarded, “PG Science Merit Scholarship” for two years for M.Sc. Statistics.
  • M.A. in Economics in 1977 from Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
