Dr. Parul Khare Sinha is Forensic Odontologist and Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologist with dual masters degrees — MDS (India) and MSc in Forensic Odontology (KU Leuven, Belgium). She is certified by HarvardX on “Child protection” and by WHO in “Infection prevention and control (IPC) for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)”, from IIM B on “Naturing Future Leadership Program”.
Presently she is Incharge of the Unit Forensic Odontology and Associate Professor at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida, where she also serves as a member of the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Imaging & Forensics.
She has rich clinical, academic, and global teaching experience including general practitioner at Alpha dental clinic Shanghai, China. Foreign Visiting faculty positions at Jiao Tong University (Shanghai), SRM (Chennai), and adjunct appointments at Saveetha Dental College (Chennai) and Saraswati Dental College (Lucknow).
Dr. Parul has delivered invited lectures and workshops worldwide, to name few at the INTERPOL (Singapore & Lyon), American Academy of Forensic Sciences (Las Vegas), Countries like Budapest, Oslo, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Shanghai, Peru. Notably with national organizations at National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). She has trained Dy. SPs, NCB police officers and prosecutors at the Central Academy of Police Training, Bhopal.
Dr. Parul serves as the Principal Investigator for the WHO/ITU/WIPO Dental Focus Group on AI & Oral Health, leading work in AI applications for Oral & Maxillofacial Oncology, and has showcased her research at WHO conferences in Berlin, Finland, Harvard, Munich, and Geneva.”
She is Indias first member in multiple global bodies like INTERPOL DVI Sub-Working Groups (Friction Ridge & Face Comparison and Forensic Odontology), ISO (Forensic odontology) BIS “Dentistry” and “Forensic Sciences introducing forensic odontology. Convener for Oral Cancer at BIS. She is also member of Kenyon International Emergency Services, US, UK. American Dental Association “Standards Committee on Dental Informatics”. Her contributions have earned her the Young Scientist Award (SPIC) and editorial roles in several reputed international journals. Dr Parul has authored a book “The Future Odontologist a Manual for Forensic Experts in a Changing World, with Dr. Jared Murray from UK” on AI and Indian Atlas showing non metric traits of teeth.
