About

With over 20 years of combined academic and industry experience across Canada and India, I specialise in Business Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and quantitative research methods. I am currently affiliated with the Sharda School of Business Studies (SSBS), Sharda University, where I teach business analytics, finance, and data-driven decision-making. I also contribute actively to curriculum development, academic planning, and initiatives aimed at strengthening industry relevance and outcome-based learning.

My academic career reflects extensive national and international teaching experience. In Canada, I have taught and designed curricula at leading institutions including Niagara College, Conestoga College, and Cambrian College, with a strong focus on applied analytics, experiential learning, and technology-enabled pedagogy. In India, I have taught at reputed institutions such as Delhi Technological University (DTU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), New Delhi, contributing to teaching excellence, faculty mentoring, and research development.

Professionally, my journey spans impactful roles as a Professor, Business Analyst, Research Analyst, Consultant, Trainer, Author and academic leader. I am the founder of ResearchLytics, an analytics-focused training and consultancy initiative through which I have trained over 500 corporate professionals, faculty members, and research scholars. My engagements emphasise analytics-driven decision-making using R, Python, Excel, statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and applied business analytics, effectively bridging academic theory with real-world application.

I hold a Ph.D. in Finance, an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, and an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management – Global Logistics. My research interests include financial market analytics, predictive modeling, market efficiency, volatility analysis, supply chain analytics, and emerging quantitative techniques. I have published over 35 research papers, including publications in ABDC (B and C category), Scopus-indexed, and Web of Science-indexed journals, and have co-authored three academic books in statistics, operations research, and commodity derivatives. I am also a Government of India patent holder for my research on stock market prediction using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN).

My academic contributions extend beyond teaching and publication. I have supervised an FPM (equivalent to Ph.D.) scholar in stock market prediction using ANN and have delivered several Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Management Development Programs (MDPs), and training & consultancy assignments in analytics, forecasting, supply chain management, and research methodology. I have also served as session chair and reviewer for international conferences, including those conducted by or hosted at IIM Kozhikode, Symbiosis International University, Shoolini University, and other prominent academic platforms.

I possess strong expertise in analytical tools such as R, Python, SPSS, EViews and Excel, along with advanced econometric and forecasting techniques. My academic work has been recognised with multiple teaching and academic excellence awards in India and Canada, including Valedictorian Award and honours for outstanding academic performance. I also hold professional certifications such as Carbon Literacy, CIFFA, and Python for Advanced Data Analytics.

Passionate about bridging academia and industry, my work focuses on developing analytically competent, ethically grounded, and globally relevant decision-makers, while contributing meaningfully to high-impact research in analytics, finance, and supply chain management.
