Sameer Sonker is a Clinical Psychologist with keen interest in qualitative research, particularly the lived experience of loss and grief. He completed his M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), in collaboration with Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, and holds a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Psychology from Keshav Mahavidyalaya. Over the course of his training, he has conducted over 1,000 therapy sessions, working from a humanistic lens that integrates approaches such as CBT, DBT, and EFT. His research interests include the experience of ambiguous loss in friendships and the experiences of siblings bereaved by suicide. His professional experience includes work as a Counselling Psychologist with Wasila Emotional Wellbeing Services and Mann Conversations.
