Michail V. Barmpas is Head of Department of Study Abroad Programs and at the same time Professor of Marketing and Strategic Planning in School of Business Studies from 2009 to date. Prior to that, he worked as Adjunct Professor in Management for the State University of New York – Empire State College, USA, Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy for University of Surrey, UK, Instructor in Business Administration for City University of Seattle, USA, and Lecturer in Business for European University, Switzerland and Greece campuses.
Besides his academic experience, Michail V. Barmpas has extensive corporate training experience for 27+ years in multinational companies including Coca Cola Co, Delhaize Group, Dixons Retail, Marfin Investment Group, Carrefour, Eurobank Group, British American Tobacco, Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, Hellenic Duty-Free Shops, Bank of Cyprus, Barclays Bank, and others in several countries including USA, UK, Greece, Mexico, Cyprus, Slovakia, Channel Islands, Belgium, Germany, Singapore, Bulgaria, and Switzerland.
Michael V. Barbas has earned an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, UK, an MA from The University of Liverpool, UK, and a BA from the American College of Greece. In addition to that he has pursued studies in Educational Psychology at Harvard University, USA, International Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, Project Management at Heriot-Watt University, UK, and Training and Learning at The University of Ulster, UK.
Michail V. Barmpas research interests are in marketing strategy, relationship marketing, scenario planning, strategy development and implementation, and institutional strategic management processes and he has published widely in these areas.
