Ms. Khushbu Maheshwari is a passionate legal academician and research scholar currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Bennett University, Greater Noida. Her research centers around the topic “Efficacies and Challenges of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019: A Socio-Legal Perspective.” She has successfully completed her coursework and served as a Teaching Assistant at the School of Law, Bennett University, until June 2025.
Ms. Maheshwari earned her LLM in Constitutional Law from Renaissance University, Indore. She completed her BA LLB (Hons.) from DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya), Indore, and has developed a strong interest in constitutional, criminal, and civil law. As part of her teaching experience, she has taught subjects like Private International Law and Jurisprudence at JECRC University, Jaipur, during her tenure as an Assistant Professor.
Ms. Maheshwari has also qualified the UGC-NET examination and holds a Certificate of Practice awarded by the Bar Council of India. With a strong dedication to legal education and public service, she has guided numerous students preparing for various state-level judiciary examinations across India. Her practical insights, combined with academic clarity, have made her a trusted mentor in the field of judicial coaching.
She began her professional journey with internships at the District and Sessions Courts in Indore, where she gained early exposure to court proceedings, legal drafting, and research under the guidance of senior advocates. These formative experiences shaped her practical understanding of the Indian legal system and inspired her pursuit of legal academia.
At Bennett University, she was actively involved in academic coordination, research mentoring, and co-curricular activities. She has played key roles in organizing legal workshops and has moderated international academic events. In addition to her academic roles, she has represented the university and presented papers at leading conferences hosted by premier institutions, including National Law Universities such as DNLU Jabalpur and MNLU Nagpur.
Ms. Maheshwaris academic interests lie in the intersection of law and social justice, with a particular focus on constitutional protections, gender rights, and the evolution of criminal jurisprudence in India. She has contributed meaningfully to discussions around legal reform, especially with regard to the rights of marginalized communities.Ms. Maheshwari is known for her diligence, liberal outlook, leadership skills, and dedication to social impact through law.
