Ms. Khushbu Maheshwari is a passionate legal academician and research scholar currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Bennett University, Greater Noida. Her research focuses on “Efficacies and Challenges of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019: A Socio-Legal Perspective.” She has successfully completed her coursework and served as a Teaching Assistant at the School of Law, Bennett University, until June 2025.
Ms. Maheshwari holds an LL.M. in Constitutional Law from Renaissance University, Indore, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. She has developed a keen interest in Constitutional, Criminal, and Civil Law. Prior to joining Sharda University, she worked as an Assistant Professor at JECRC University, Jaipur, where she taught subjects such as Private International Law and Jurisprudence.
A UGC-NET-qualified professional, she also holds a Certificate of Practice from the Bar Council of India. Ms. Maheshwari has guided numerous students preparing for state-level judiciary examinations, combining academic clarity with practical insights to mentor future judicial officers.
At Bennett University, she was actively engaged in research mentoring, academic coordination, and organizing legal workshops and international events. She has represented the university and presented research papers at national and international conferences hosted by premier institutions, including National Law Universities such as DNLU Jabalpur and MNLU Nagpur.
Her academic interests lie at the intersection of law and social justice, particularly gender rights, constitutional protections, and the evolution of criminal jurisprudence. Known for her diligence, leadership, and liberal outlook, Ms. Maheshwari aspires to advance inclusive justice and contribute meaningfully to legal research, policy reform, and social transformation through law.
