Dr. Sonia Khanna is working as Associate Professor in department of Chemistry. She has a teaching and research experience of over 15 years. She has published more than 25 articles in international journals, 10 book chapters, 8 published and 5 granted patents. She is associated with reputed project of ISRO, seed fund projects. She is principal PhD investigator of many PhD scholars.

Research

• Research experience in synthesis, characterization and structural elucidation of coinage metal (Cu^I, Ag^I, Au^I) complexes with a series of N, S-donor thiosemicarbazone ligands, using single crystal x-ray crystallography, spectroscopic techniques (¹H, ¹³C, ³¹P; IR, UV) and analytical techniques (CV). The metal coordination supra-molecular assemblies of the coinage metal ions have been studied using multidentate thiosemicarbazone ligands.    Material Chemistry.
