Dr. Sonam Singh

About

Dr. Sonam Singh did her Ph.D. from the Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, following an M.Sc. in Zoology and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from Ramjas College, University of Delhi.

Her doctoral research focused on the toxicological and reproductive effects of pentachlorophenol (PCP) on the freshwater catfish Heteropneustes fossilis, with emphasis on endocrine disruption, oxidative stress, reproductive health, and metabolic alterations. Her research expertise includes histopathology, molecular biology, gene expression analysis, NMR-based metabolomics, molecular docking, and computational approaches.

Her research interests include environmental toxicology, ecotoxicology, structural biology, molecular biology, drug discovery, antimicrobial research, and protein structure–function studies.
