About

Dr. Shikha Singh is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Life Sciences. She has specialization in Zoology, toxicology and cytogenetics. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology from the Department of Zoology, Central University of Allahabad in 2020. Dr. Singh has published several peer-reviewed journal publications, book chapters, books, and patents at both national and international levels. She has guided numerous postgraduate and undergraduate students and is a recipient of the Best Oral Presentation Award by the Indian Science Congress Association in 2017. She is also a life member of Materials Research Society of India (MRSI). She actively contributes to interdisciplinary research, academic workshops, and FDPs.

Award & Recognition

  • During graduation, got selected from the institution to actively participate in the conference “South Asian Youth Environment Network Meet” at CEE, Ahmedabad in 2009.
  • Best Oral Presentation Award in National Seminar on “Science and Technology for National Development” organized by Allahabad Chapter of The Indian Science Congress Association, Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad, Allahabad from Feb 11th -13th, 2017.
  • Presented paper entitled “Studies on the assessment of pesticide induced stress and apoptosis in freshwater teleost, Channa punctatus” in “20th World Congress on Toxicology and Pharmacology” organized during May 06-07, 2019, at Tokyo, Japan.
