About

Dr. Lakshmi is an Associate Professor with over 15 years of teaching experience in engineering education. She holds a Ph.D in Information and Communication Engineering. and Master of Engineering (Communication Systems) and has developed interdisciplinary expertise in Information Retrieval, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Soft Computing, Robotics, Python Programming, and Intelligent Healthcare Systems. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to integrating engineering fundamentals with emerging computing technologies. She adopts a student-centric, outcome-based teaching approach that emphasizes conceptual understanding, practical implementation, and problem-solving. Her goal is to equip students with the knowledge and technical skills needed to meet the evolving demands of academia and industry. Dr. Lakshmi's research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Medical Image Analysis, and Intelligent Healthcare Applications. She has published 14 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences and is the holder of one patent, demonstrating her dedication to research, innovation, and technological advancement. Beyond teaching and research, she actively contributes to curriculum development, academic planning, and quality assurance initiatives. She has organized and coordinated technical workshops, seminars and student engagement activities that encourage innovation and experiential learning. She has also guided numerous undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) projects, mentoring students in research and the practical application of emerging technologies. Committed to continuous learning, Dr. Lakshmi regularly participates in faculty development programmes, technical training, and research collaborations. She is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and the advancement of technical education. Driven by a passion for teaching, research, and lifelong learning, Dr. Lakshmi strives to nurture competent, ethical, and innovative engineers while contributing to academic excellence and technology-driven solutions for societal challenges.
