Dr. Rashmi Prabha Singh has received her Ph.D. degree on “Structural and Functional Studies of Mammalian Heme Peroxidases” from the Department of Biophysics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. She has completed her M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology from C. C. S. University Meerut, Campus. She was the gold medalist in her masters degree. She has done her M.Sc. Research Project from Plant Tissue Culture Division, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow.
She has qualified CSIR-NET-JRF (2007) and CSIR-NET-JRF (2008). She has also Qualified GATE examination, 2008 with a 99.65 percentile and All India Rank- 48. Her Ph.D. research work was specifically focused on Protein Purification, Protein Crystallization, Biochemical Characterization of Proteins, Molecular Biology and Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography. She has submitted more than 24 PDBs in RCSB Protein Data Bank. She has published many international research papers in peer-reviewed journals. She is a lifetime member of the Indian Crystallographic Association (ICA). She is a Reviewer of many reputed journals. She has presented her research papers at various international and national conferences and seminars. She also won the ‘Best Oral Presentation Award at the National Seminar on Crystallography (NSC-42), 2013, held at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her area of research work is Structure-based identification and validation of novel lead molecules against drug target proteins from various pathogens, which includes molecular biology and computational in-silico studies.
