About

Dr. Pushpendra Kumar Rajput is currently serving as Associate Professor and Deputy Head in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sharda School of Computing Science & Engineering, Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. In this leadership role, he actively contributes to academic planning, faculty coordination, curriculum implementation, and the overall strategic development of the department.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, Punjab. He completed his B.Tech. in Information Technology (Honours) from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, and his M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar NIT, Jalandhar, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance. He has further strengthened his academic leadership capabilities by earning a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practices (PGCAP) from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun.

With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Rajput has held several key academic leadership and administrative positions, including Deputy Head, Year Coordinator, Placement and Internship Coordinator, Course Coordinator, Timetable Coordinator, Academic and Planning Coordinator, and Curriculum Design Committee Member. Through these roles, he has been instrumental in streamlining academic operations, strengthening industry engagement, enhancing student mentoring systems, and supporting outcome-based education practices.

Dr. Rajput has made significant contributions to research leadership and academic capacity building. He has published extensively in international journals, conferences, and edited volumes, and has served as a resource person in multiple Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) across the country. He has also led and coordinated national and international academic events, including conferences, hackathons, short-term training programs, and coding competitions, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and experiential learning.

His research focus lies in Intelligent Software Systems, with an emphasis on developing smart, adaptive, and scalable computing solutions aligned with emerging technological and industry needs.
