Dr. Mahesh Manchanda

About

Dr. Mahesh Manchanda is Professor of Computer Science & Engineering and Coordinator of the Ranking Division at Sharda University, Greater Noida. With over 22 years of progressive experience in higher education, he brings together strong research and teaching credentials with deep, hands-on expertise in institutional accreditation, ranking strategy and regulatory compliance.

In his current role, Dr. Manchanda owns Sharda Universitys submissions to NIRF, Times Higher Education (THE), QS World University Rankings, QS I-GAUGE and MDI rankings end-to-end – from data validation and framework-metric mapping to leadership reporting and ranking-body liaison.

Earlier, as IQAC Coordinator at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, he led the institutions NAAC accreditation cycles to elevated grades through data-driven quality frameworks. He served as the University Nodal Officer for UGC, AISHE, NIRF, AIU, ONOD, SAMARTH, UTSAH, INC, PCI and BCI – the single point of contact for the university across all major statutory bodies. He was also appointed Technical Committee Member by Samagra Shiksha, Uttarakhand to evaluate proposals for 110 Atal Tinkering Labs across the state.

He is a recognised researcher with 68+ Scopus-indexed publications, 23 patents filed (3 granted), a USERC-funded project on Digital Literacy & Cybersecurity, and 16 academic books authored for Punjab Technical University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala, Uttarakhand Open University and KKHSOU Assam. He has supervised 2 awarded Ph.D. scholars, is currently guiding 6 more, and has supervised 12 M.Tech. dissertations. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and Member, Computer Society of India.

Research interests: Web Mining, Web Semantics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Blockchain and Cybersecurity.
