About

Dr. Kavita Khatana Bhati is an accomplished computational biochemist and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Sharda University, Greater Noida. She also serves as an IIC Ambassador at the Sharda School of Engineering & Science and is Vice President of the U.P. Chapter of ESDA, Delhi. She is a distinguished editorial board member of several reputed international journals and an active member of leading scientific organizations.

Her research expertise includes synthesis, characterization, and in silico studies of bioactive compounds, integrating experimental chemistry with computational drug design. Her work focuses on medicinal plant–derived compounds with anticancer, antibacterial, and neuroactive potential. She has also contributed to biomembrane research during her postdoctoral fellowship and to sustainable science through wastewater treatment and green chemistry approaches.

Dr. Bhati has delivered 14 keynote and invited talks at national and international platforms. She has authored 14 books, published 39 research papers, holds over 100 patents, and has received 150 awards, highlighting her significant contributions to science and society.

In addition to her scientific achievements, her contribution extends well beyond laboratories and classrooms. Through over 100 grassroots outreach programs, Dr. Bhati has led awareness campaigns on sanitation, menstrual hygiene, environmental conservation, rural education, and girl child empowerment, particularly in underserved regions of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi NCR.
