About

Dr. Karuna Singh is at present a Professor (Nutrition and Dietetics) and Dean in the School of Allied Health Sciences, Sharda University. Before joining Sharda University on November 5, 2021, Dr. Karuna worked for 9.5 years at Amity Institute of Food Technology, Amity University, NOIDA

Dr. Karuna has done her BSc (Honours) Foods and Nutrition in 1995 and her M.Sc. (Foods and Nutrition) in 1997 from Vanasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan. She has done her PhD in 2008. Dr. Karuna has a teaching experience of 18 years. She has guided 40 M. Sc (FN), M. Tech. (Food. Tech.)  and B. Tech (Food. Tech.), 01 M. Phil and 5 PhD students.   

Dr. Karuna has authored more than 39 research papers in journals of national and international repute.10 chapters in books and presented more than 40 papers in conferences. She also handled projects awarded by government agencies like DST, BIRAC. She also worked on various industrial consultancies. She has also work actively in organizing FDP, conferences and webinars. She is the life member of various reputed professional bodies like NIN, Mushroom society of India, Science congress etc.
