Dr. Kanchan Gupta is a proficient academician, researcher, and creative practitioner currently helping as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art & Design, SSD. She holds a Ph.D. and brings over 15 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of art, design, and visual communication. Throughout her academic career, she has been dedicated to promoting creative education, interdisciplinary research, and the effective integration of digital technologies in art and design practices.
Her academic and research interests focus on visual communication, media studies, advertising design, and the dynamic relationship between art, technology, and society. Dr. Guptas research explores how media and advertising influence social awareness, cultural communication, and contemporary design practices. She has actively contributed to scholarly research and published several research papers in reputed journals. One of her notable contributions includes a research paper published in the Scopus-indexed journal Nanotechnology Perceptions in December 2024. She has also published research articles titled “Can Media as an Engine of Change?” and “How much Advertising Effective for Society” in the International Research Journal of Management Sociology & Humanities (IRJMSH).
Dr. Gupta has also contributed to academic literature through editorial and authorship roles. She served as the Chief Editor of the book “Futuristic Trends in Management, Engineering, Arts and Science – FTMEAS 2025” published in January 2025. Additionally, she authored a book on Computer Applications developed for the Self-Learning Program under the Directorate of Distance Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, supporting accessible learning resources for distance education students.
Apart from publications, she actively participates in academic conferences and professional development programs. She presented a research paper on “Importance of Advertising in Todays Fashion Field” at a national conference under the theme “Metaverse, Fashion Design and Sustainable Fashion” in 2023. She also presented a paper at a Government of India sponsored national conference on Religion and Karma organized at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. Furthermore, she participated in a two-week Faculty Development Program on Entrepreneurship Development organized by Mody University of Science and Technology under the DST–NIMAT Project supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India.
Dr. Guptas academic contributions have been recognized through several awards and honors. She received the Best Researcher Award at the International Award Ceremony IWDA-2025 organized by Knowledge Research Academy. She was also recognized as the Best Performance and Hardworking Faculty at Ginni Devi Modi Girls (P.G.) College, Modinagar.
In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Gupta actively participates in creative and cultural initiatives. She has taken part as an artist in Guinness World Record events, including the longest painting competition and the “Mission of Unity” project involving the creation of the national flag. Her design work has also been selected for display at an international workshop exhibition at London University.
Dr. Gupta is an active member of professional organizations such as the Association of Designers of India (ADI), IFERP Academy, and CMAOI. Through her teaching, research, and creative engagement, she continues to inspire students and contribute to the growth of art and design education.
